NHS Lothian Helpdesk

There are three different helpdesks for NHS Lothian staff. Please ensure that you contact the helpdesk appropriate to you enquiry.:

ID Number Policy

NHS Lothian staff - Your number should start with the letters C, E, ET or ES, followed by 6, 7, or 8 numbers. If you do not know your number, please ask your line manager to get it for you from Empower. An instruction guide for managers can be found on the Intranet homepage.

GPs and GP Practice staff –your ID number should be the Practice Reference Number (S and 5 numbers) followed by 2 numbers which will be allocated to you by your practice manager when registering.

If you don’t fall under any of the above categories, please contact the Lothian Helpdesk and they will issue you with and emergency learnPro ID number.

Please remember not to use your National Insurance Number.

Doctors' learnPro (SES: VIP)

Doctors in SES: VIP can use the following contact details for any queries about accessing the VIP system.

Education and Employee Development
